in Portugal. The band played big European festivals (e.g. Lissabon, Berlin,
Nuremberg) and did several radio productions. Bridging Portuguese roots
with creative freedom à la Knitting Factory, Azul gives a new and airy

Paris in the fifties, Berlin is nowadays well known as a refuge for the
creative elite of jazz. Part of the local jazz scene in town are Carlos
Bica, Kalle Kalima and Sven Klammer. Names, that have already gained a

three musicians met in Berlin and immediately discovered their own sound.
The trios program contains only original material in exception of some
Shakespeare sonnets and poems by E.A.Poe. Their unique approach leaps
across the stylistic borders of chamber music, folk, pop, jazz the art
of song, with the entertaining ease and serious intensity of musical virtuosity.
